Caldien Inc. (“Caldien,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the Deepen AI Dictionary mobile application and related services (collectively, the “Service”). By installing, accessing, or using the Service you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy and agree to the practices described below.


  1. Scope & Consent

This Policy applies to all personal and non-personal data we process in connection with the Service, regardless of where you live.

By (a) creating an account, (b) connecting a third-party login, or (c) otherwise using the Service,

you:

  • consent to the collection, use, disclosure, and retention of your information as described here; and

  • confirm that you are at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher).

A. Information you provide directly

  • Account data – e-mail address, display name, birthday (for age verification), native language, and any profile photo you upload.

  • User content – search terms, saved word collections, feedback, and customer-support messages.


B. Information from third-party log-ins

When you sign in with Apple, Google, LINE, or KakaoTalk we receive the limited data those providers make available (typically an e-mail address, encrypted user-ID token, locale, and avatar URL). We never receive your password for those services.


C. Information collected automatically

  • Device & diagnostics – IP address, device model, OS version, language, time zone, crash logs, and advertising identifiers (via Firebase).

  • Usage analytics – search queries, screen views, feature taps, session length, and referral source.

  • Audio snippets – text sent to ElevenLabs for speech generation.


D. Payment data

All monetary transactions are processed by Apple or Google. We receive only anonymized transaction IDs and subscription status—never complete card or banking details.

We process personal data only when we have a legal basis (GDPR Art. 6), typically performance of a contract, legitimate interests, consent, or compliance with a legal obligation.

  1. International Transfers

Our servers and primary subprocessors are located in the United States. By using the Service you acknowledge that your information may be transferred to, processed, and stored in the U.S. or other countries whose laws may differ from yours. For EU/UK users we rely on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or other legally recognized safeguards.

  1. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards: TLS encryption in transit, AES-256 encryption at rest, least-privilege access, periodic penetration tests, and continuous monitoring. No system is 100 % secure; you are responsible for protecting your device and credentials.


  1. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location (e.g., GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, LGPD), you may have the right to:

  • access, correct, download, or delete personal data;

  • object to or restrict certain processing;

  • withdraw consent without affecting prior processing;

  • lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority;

  • receive equal service and price even if you exercise privacy rights.

Submit requests in-app or e-mail hello@getdeepen.com. We will verify your identity and respond within the timeframe required by law (30 days in most regions). We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.


  1. Children’s Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent). We do not knowingly collect data from such users. If we discover that a child below the minimum age has provided personal information, we will delete it and terminate the account.


  1. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy periodically. Material changes will be announced in-app or by e-mail at least 15 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
